Charles Thompson Mission - Since 1829 the Liverpool City Mission has been caring for the poor and needy within the city. Although social and economic conditions have improved beyond all recognition over the past two centuries there still remains a significant minority who are homeless, or who have accommodation but live in abject poverty. The Mission seeks to minister to these people by actions and words. The Rescue Work involves the provision of hot meals, tinned foods, clothes, toys and furniture distribution.

Commitment for Life - Commitment for Life is there to help United Reformed Churches work for a fairer world and for peace with justice, recognising that change and response starts with each one of us. Commitment for Life is about raising awareness in order to bring about change. It is about more than giving money – though that is important. If poverty is to be eradicated, structural change must accompany charity and aid. Charity can make a difference but it is not enough - people need to understand and address the causes of poverty and give direct help to those most in need.

Kids in need and distress (KIND) - The ethos of KIND is to show children that there is more to them and more to life. Many of our children come from the inner cities and it was not simply a lack of contact with nature that was shaping these young minds in several negative ways. Many lacked a sense of self-worth and had few positive feelings towards life. KIND was founded to address these issues.
